Death
What happened in the week between the children's baptism and William's death is a mystery. William Charles Cox died around May 19, 1897, in Oxfordshire, England, when he was only 38 years old.[11] Roland was five, William Jr. wasn't even one.
He was buried in the parish of St Frideswide in Osney, Oxfordshire, England on May 20, 1897.[12]
